After some tight matches and some great wins in a tough field, Marco’s win streak has come to an end.
He played the 2019 World 9 Ball Champion Fedor Gorst
early this morning. Although Marco put up a great fight, he eventually went down 11 frames to 7.
From a field of 256 of the worlds best pool and snooker players, Marco has placed 9th equal.
This is a phenomenal effort. Marco has done himself, New Zealand Pool and Massé proud.

With day four coming to an end,
Marco Teutscher is still alive and kicking, and into the last 16 of the US Open 9 Ball Championship! He’s managed to beat three top professional players today, with his final match being an 11-6 victory over former World Champion Darren Appleton.
Tomorrow is another day though, and Marco starts with a 10am match against the 2019 World 9 Ball Champion Fedor Gorst
Competition doesn’t get tougher than this, but if anyone can get it done, its Marco “Marco Shark” Teutscher
with all of New Zealand behind him

His next match will be another tough one against a young and hungry opponent from Poland, Konrad Juszczyszyn. With both players in the one loss this bracket this is do or die with the winner getting into the last 16 of the one loss side of the draw.
